Twelve teachers were injured in a clash with police here today. The teachers, who were staging a protest against the arbitrary decision of the Bindutanagar Mun
icipal Corporation to adjust the teachers, were injured in the clash with the police.
The dispute erupted after police tried to control the tense situation following a demonstration by the teachers. Naveen Singh Dhami, secretary of the Nepal Kanchanpur Teachers’ Association, said the municipality had not responded to their concerns for a long time as they had been staging protests for the past 35 days.
He also said that the injured teachers are being treated at Mahakali Provincial Hospital.
